SUMMARY: High-end Restaurant based in Hoedspruit is looking for an experienced, passionate and driven Head Chef to join their team.

This is a vibrant, busy restaurant focused on fresh, quality food, consistency and a high standard of kitchen execution. We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front , take ownership of the kitchen and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO: Duties: Act as the Head Chef & Kitchen Management Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations Lead, train and manage the kitchen team Ensure consistent quality, presentation and portion control Manage ordering, stock control and food costs Plan and oversee preparation and service Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, Health & Safety and food standards Minimise wastage and ensure efficient kitchen systems Maintain and continuously improve Harvest House's food standards Work closely with management to ensure a smooth and successful operation Able to create pesto's, pastas, pickles, sauces in house Requirements: Grade 12 A formal culinary qualification Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen manager Confident leading a team Excellent organisational and time-management skills Takes pride in their food and kitchen standards Understands food costing, stock control and kitchen systems Can remain calm and effective in a busy service Hands-on, reliable and takes ownership A passion for the hospitality industry and creating great food
