Job Summary

EDO Restaurant is seeking an experienced, creative, and dependable Head Chef to lead kitchen operations, oversee food preparation, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to manage a kitchen team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities
• Lead, supervise, and support kitchen staff
• Plan menus and contribute ideas for new and seasonal dishes
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion consistency
• Coordinate food preparation and service during busy periods
• Monitor ingredient inventory, ordering, and stock levels
• Control food costs and minimize kitchen waste
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
• Train kitchen team members and support their development
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Previous Head Chef, Sous Chef, or senior culinary experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu planning
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to maintain food quality in a fast-paced kitchen
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
