Head Chef - Daytime hours

Head Chef | North Kildare | Up to €45,000

A well-respected hospitality business is looking for a Head Chef to lead one of their busiest kitchens in North Kildare.

The kitchen

Quality food made with care using good produce, a loyal customer base, and a small team that genuinely works together. There's real scope for the right chef to put their own stamp on the menu.

What your week looks like

• Running the pass and cooking alongside your team every service
• Writing, costing and refreshing seasonal menus, and trialling new dishes
• Keeping a close eye on GP, food cost, labour and waste
• Owning HACCP, food safety records and inspection readiness
• Ordering, stock control and building good supplier relationships
• Hiring, training and developing your team

Who we're looking for

• A Head Chef, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up, from a busy, quality-focused kitchen
• Experience in a busy daytime or all-day kitchen is a real advantage
• A confident cook who leads from the stove, not the office
• Comfortable with the numbers: costings, margins and rotas
• Solid working knowledge of HACCP and Irish food safety requirements
• A calm, fair leader who builds a positive kitchen culture
• Fresh ideas and energy for menu development

The package

• Up to €45,000 depending on experience
• Full-time, 5 days over 7, with sociable hours
