What they need
- Bachelor’s degree or vocational course in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Head Chef/Pizza Chef role.
- Proven expertise in pizza preparation, dough making, fermentation, sauce preparation, and pizza baking techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, pizza styles, ingredients, and cooking methods is an advantage.
- Experienced in operating and managing pizza ovens, including wood-fired, gas, electric, or deck ovens.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, proper food handling, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Skilled in menu development, recipe standardization, portion control, costing, and inventory management.
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
- Capable of managing kitchen operations during high-volume service periods while maintaining speed and quality.
- Knowledge of food cost control, wastage reduction, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be hands-on, disciplined, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
- TESDA/Culinary certification or relevant professional training is an advantage.
