Head Chef/Kitchen Manager

Duties

• Leading a small team in the kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
• Oversee food production, from ingredient prep to final presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served
• Maintain food safety protocols rigorously, adhering to health regulations and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment
• Consistently produce menu items that reflect current culinary trends while respecting traditional techniques
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and control waste to optimize kitchen efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a restaurant, pub, or hotel using fresh ingredients
• A strong background in food preparation and various cooking techniques
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to encourage and motivate the entire team
• Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management
• Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences

Pay: £15.00-£18.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
