About the role

We are seeking a Head, Compensation & Benefit to join AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd in a full-time capacity based in our Bangsar South office in Kuala Lumpur. This role will be leading compensation and benefits to attract and retain talent through competitive, equitable and affordable rewards. Ensure accurate payroll, effective benefits administration and expatriate tax coordination, supported by strong controls and reliable employee service.

What you'll be doing

1. Reward strategy and pay structure 
   Recommend reward policies, pay ranges and job evaluation standards. Use market benchmarks and pay equity analysis to guide fair, competitive pay decisions.
2. Annual compensation exercises 
   Lead salary reviews, increments, bonuses and promotion pay. Model costs, align recommendations with leaders and secure approvals for implementation.
3. Benefits design and administration  
   Review benefits competitiveness, utilisation and cost, Manage insurance renewals and service providers, oversee claims and eligibility, and communicate employee entitlements clearly.
4. Payroll and statutory compliance 
   Oversee accurate, timely payroll and final payments. Maintain reconciliations, independent checks and statutory submissions, monitor regulatory changes and resolve payroll exceptions.
5. Expatriate compensation and tax 
   Coordinate expatriate pay and benefits with home-country HR. Manage tax advisers, fillings and tax clearance, and reconcile assignment costs and Finance.
6. Budgeting ad reward analytics  
   Own C&B budgets with Finance. Forecast costs, explain variances and report on pay competitiveness, internal equity and benefit effectiveness.
7. Controls and HR system partnership 
   Protect pay data, approval controls and audit readiness. Own C&B data accuracy and requirements, partnering with HR Transformation on HRIS changes and testing.
8. Team leadership and service delivery 
   Develop the C&B team and service standards. Resolve reward queries and improve workflows.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
2. Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably within financial services or a large corporate environment
3. Demonstrated expertise in designing and administering comprehensive benefits programmes.
4. Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements related to compensation and benefits
5. Proficiency in salary benchmarking methodologies and market analysis tools
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining compensation strategies to diverse stakeholder groups.
