At The Williamsport Home, our Personal Care and Independent Living residents enjoy restaurant-style dining in a welcoming community atmosphere. We're seeking a dependable, motivated Cook to prepare high-quality meals while contributing to an exceptional dining experience.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and serve appetizing, nutritious meals according to menus and recipes
• Ensure food is prepared safely and meets quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff to provide excellent service
• Assist with special meals, events, and resident dining preferences when appropriate

What We're Looking For:

• Previous cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or institutional settings preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
• A genuine desire to serve older adults

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English;
2. Strong interpersonal skills
3. Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant;
4. Must either be Safe Serve Certified or attend Safe Serve training and successfully pass next available scheduled course within first year of employment.
