Position: HEAD COOK

Department: Quick Service Restaurant Kitchen

Salary: 150,000

Location: Ashi-Bodija

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations and kitchen staff.

* Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards.

* Ensure consistency in food taste, presentation, and portion sizes.

* Monitor food stock, control usage, and minimize waste.

* Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation, and inventory management.

* Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety.

* Ensure timely preparation of meals to meet customer orders.

* Monitor kitchen equipment and report faults or maintenance needs.

* Train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff performance.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

* Minimum of HND/BSc, and must have completed NYSC; relevant culinary training is an advantage.

* Proven experience as a Chef/ Head Cook in a restaurant or quick service restaurant kitchen (QSR).

* Strong cooking, leadership, and organizational skills.

* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and stock control.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy kitchen.

* Food cost and waste control.

* Kitchen hygiene and safety compliance.

* Staff productivity and discipline.
