Head Devops

Key Responsibilities

• 11-14 years in software engineering, infrastructure or DevOps roles with at least 5 years leading crossfunctional engineering teams.
• Technical expertise Strong knowledge of CI/CD platforms, version control (Git), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud infrastructure (Azure/GCP) and InfrastructureasCode.
• Programming skills Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Define DevOps strategy Establish the vision, standards and roadmap for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure automation and site reliability engineering. Standardise version control, release management and configuration across projects. Excellent in IaaS deployment.
• CI/CD and automation – Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps. Automate builds, testing and deployments through InfrastructureasCode (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Implement continuous testing and monitoring to ensure quality and compliance.
• Cloud and infrastructure management – Architect hybrid cloud and microservices environments on Azure or GCP; manage environment provisioning, capacity planning, cost optimisation and high availability.
• DevSecOps integration – Collaborate with security teams to embed security controls in pipelines and ensure compliance with IRDAI and dataprotection regulations; enforce secure coding, vulnerability scanning and secrets management.
• Stakeholder engagement – Partner with development, QA, product and business leaders to align DevOps initiatives with business outcomes; report on performance metrics and continuousimprovement initiatives.
