A leading Microfinance Bank is seeking a strategic, commercially driven, and data-oriented distribution leader to develop and execute its distribution and digital channel strategy across physical and digital platforms.

The successful candidate will lead the growth and optimization of distribution channels, including:

  • Agent networks and POS terminals
  • Debit cards and alternative channels
  • Branches and service points
  • Customer onboarding infrastructure
  • Territory expansion and channel deployment

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute distribution and digital channel strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Lead agent recruitment, onboarding, activation, productivity, performance, and retention.
  • Manage POS deployment, utilization, recovery, replacement, and redeployment.
  • Drive territory expansion, customer acquisition, transaction growth, and channel profitability.
  • Develop debit card distribution and activation strategies.
  • Establish performance dashboards and use data to optimize channel effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, and Procurement teams.
  • Develop distribution budgets, deployment plans, KPIs, and performance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years’ relevant experience in banking, fintech, payments, telecommunications, agency banking, FMCG, or large-scale distribution.
  • Proven experience managing multi-location distribution networks.
  • Strong experience in POS, agency banking, merchant acquisition, field operations, or related channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute distribution strategies and territory expansion plans.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, strategic planning, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of Nigeria’s financial services, payments, and agency banking ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

What We’re Looking For:

A growth-oriented distribution strategist who can translate business objectives into territories, agents, POS, cards, branches/service points, budgets, deployment plans, and measurable KPIs—not simply a POS or logistics manager.
