Head of Ecommerce (P&L & Growth)

Design-led Mass-Premium Kitchenware | D2C / Marketplaces / Quick Commerce

Role positioning

You will own the entire ecommerce growth engine revenue, contribution margin, advertising, inventory, channel expansion, and the team that drives it.

This is a builder role, not a management-by-delegation role. You will work directly with the founder, have commercial autonomy within agreed budgets and targets, and be expected to identify what needs to happen next and execute it.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

Amazon India: Own the complete P&L revenue, ad spend, returns, fees and contribution margin. Drive Amazon Ads with TACOS less than 10% and ACOS less than18%. Own account health, listing quality, pricing discipline, catalogue hygiene and weekly performance reporting.

Inventory Planning: Own inventory planning across Amazon, Quick Commerce, HORECA and website. Build DRR-based reorder triggers, maintain 30-45 days of cover on top ASINs, ensure daily stock visibility and 90-day demand forecasting. Coordinate proactively with supply chain to prevent stockouts and drive liquidation of dead/slow-moving inventory to protect working capital.

Multi-Channel Expansion: Own onboarding, launch and growth across Flipkart, Pepperfry, Instamart, First Club, Amazon Global and new channels. Drive catalogue, compliance, commercial terms and first revenue. Build channel-wise P&L and prioritise/deprioritise channels based on revenue, margin and growth potential.

Team Building: Hire, onboard and manage the commercial team, including Amazon Account Manager, HORECA Lead Gen and Graphic Design Lead. Set clear KPIs and build a team that operates independently while remaining accountable for output.

Data & Reporting: Work with MIS to build strong data infrastructure. Ensure every decision is backed by data. Share weekly channel P&L with the Founder and proactively flag problems before they become crises.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years in marketplace and D2C management; brand-side experience only.
• Proven journey from 0 to 2 Cr+ monthly revenue.
• Independently owned a multi-channel ecommerce P&L.
• Strong inventory planning, DRR, days-of-cover and forecasting expertise.
• Successfully onboarded 2+ new channels.
• Deep Amazon Ads expertise with documented TACOS/ACOS results.
• Experience hiring and managing a commercial team.
• Thinks in revenue, margin and working capital, not just activity.
• High ownership, fast decision-making and strong execution without constant direction.
