Head Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, thoroughly, and according to established standards.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and sanitation procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, equipment use, and customer service expectations.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; coordinate procurement to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to uphold cleanliness standards, identify areas for improvement, and address any sanitation concerns promptly.
• Enforce safety regulations within the team to prevent accidents or hazards, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
• Manage team schedules, assign duties, provide performance feedback, and promote a positive work environment through effective managerial communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or hospitality housekeeping management with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, safety regulations, and janitorial equipment operation.
• Experience in industrial or large-scale cleaning environments preferred; familiarity with laundry operations is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and management seamlessly.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety protocols.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is highly desirable.
