Head, Human Resources and Organization Development

About the role

This role brings workforce planning, talent development and performance under one accountable leader. You will set the direction while an experienced HR Manager runs day-to-day operations, employee relations and recruitment under you.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manpower projections and hiring priorities for each program, and ensure full staffing before each academic year begins
• Own the HR action plan, update HR policies, and set a clear approval matrix for HR transactions
• Maintain departmental org charts and position descriptions, and lead job grading in line with the Velez Group's job evaluation framework
• Partner with the Institutional Quality Assurance office to keep faculty-related evidence for PAASCU complete and current
• Build career paths and succession plans for faculty and key non-teaching roles, and oversee faculty development, graduate studies support and the performance evaluation system
• Work with Deans and department heads as a consultative partner on performance, staffing and team issues, while keeping due process consistent across the College
• Produce a monthly HR dashboard for the Vice President for Administration and use the data to guide decisions
• Lead and coach the HR team, and hire and develop the incoming HR Officer for Learning & Performance

About you

• Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 7 years of HR experience, including 3 or more in a supervisory role
• Hands-on experience in at least one of recruitment, organization development, or learning and development
• Working knowledge of Philippine labor law and HR compliance
