Head - Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced Head Maintenance for a leading automotive component manufacturing company based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage overall machine maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Drive improvement in machine uptime and OEE.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement root cause and corrective actions.
• Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and maintenance resources.
• Drive TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTTR, MTBF, downtime and maintenance cost.
• Manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Oversee plant utilities including compressors, chillers, DG sets and electrical panels.
• Lead installation, commissioning, relocation and validation of new machines.
• Develop and manage the maintenance team, including training and skill development.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, EHS, IATF and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, PPC, OEMs and external service providers.

Key Skills / Experience

• Strong experience in Injection Moulding machine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic and Electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience in Preventive, Predictive & TPM Maintenance.
• Strong breakdown analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Energy Management and Utility Maintenance.
• Exposure to IATF and EHS requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in machine installation, commissioning and maintenance projects.
• Good knowledge of MTTR, MTBF, OEE and maintenance cost management.

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics
