About The Job HEAD NURSE (LABOR ROOM) General Requirements

• B.Sc. Nursing or Masters in Nursing with Midwifery
• Registered Nurse Midwife at a Licensing Authority
• Minimum 7 years in nursing practice and 2 years in a supervisory role as Head Nurse or Charge Nurse in Labor Room
• Expert knowledge of midwifery required
• Ability to plan and prioritize
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good collaboration, communication and teamwork skills

Job Specification

• Ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards
• Review nursing policies and procedures
• Evaluate nursing staff performance
• Collaborate with nursing staff and management in the coordination of patient care.
• Train nursing staff and coordinate educational programs for patients and their families
• Implement quality assurance systems
• Assign and schedule activities for nursing staff
• Supervise acquisition of medical supplies and equipment needed for patient care
• Coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Perform administrative and managerial functions
