We are hiring an experienced Head of Accounts to lead the Accounts & Finance function of a financial institution.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial analysis.
• Ensure accurate bank, cash and account reconciliations.
• Drive tax, regulatory and statutory compliance, including applicable CBN requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and strengthen financial controls.
• Oversee payroll, payables, receivables and other financial administration. Lead and develop the Accounts team while driving process improvement and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related field.
• ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification required/strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years’ progressive experience in Accounting/Finance, preferably in banking or microfinance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, reconciliations, controls and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• High integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.
