Thai Insurers Datanet and the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau are joining to form TIRD — the general insurance industry's rating bureau and R&D organization. We strengthen the insurance ecosystem through trusted data, actuarial standards, research, and analytics, with the ambition to become a respected industry institution across Thailand and the region.

The Role

As a key member of TIRD's leadership team, you'll own the actuarial integrity and industry relevance of our rating methodologies, reference loss costs, benchmarks, research, and advisory services. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll lead the Actuarial Advisory team, build TIRD's data and AI capabilities, launch new services, and establish TIRD's reputation as an independent source of actuarial expertise and thought leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead TIRD's actuarial strategy, technical standards, and rating-bureau capabilities — reference loss costs, rating methodologies, risk classifications, pricing models, and reserving guidance.

• Establish robust governance for data, assumptions, model development, validation, documentation, and review, meeting professional and regulatory standards.

• Build TIRD's AI and advanced-analytics capabilities — championing predictive modelling, machine learning, and emerging technologies to strengthen data quality and create practical data products and services.

• Analyze claims frequency and severity, loss development, pricing, reserving, profitability, and emerging risks — turning them into industry reports, dashboards, and thought leadership.

• Advise insurers, regulators, and stakeholders on product, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, and portfolio performance.

• Develop new actuarial, analytics, benchmarking, and advisory services that support TIRD's sustainable growth.

• Represent TIRD at industry forums and build trusted relationships with insurers, regulators, associations, academia, and technology partners.

• Build, mentor, and develop the Actuarial Advisory team, fostering a culture of integrity, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

What You'll Bring

• Advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Fellowship — or substantial progress toward it — in a recognized actuarial body.

• Significant actuarial leadership experience in general insurance, with deep expertise in pricing, loss-cost analysis, reserving, and portfolio performance.

• Strong grasp of insurance business models across underwriting, claims, distribution, reinsurance, finance, data, and regulation.

• Experience developing, validating, and governing actuarial methodologies and models, plus strong statistical, predictive-modelling, and AI capabilities.

• Proven success leading teams and complex projects, influencing senior stakeholders, and communicating technical findings clearly.

• High standards of professional integrity, independence, and judgment.

• Strong written and spoken Thai and English.

Experience with a rating bureau, regulator, industry association, consulting firm, or insurance data organization — and in building commercially sustainable advisory services — is highly advantageous.
