Job Title: Head of Business Development

Position Overview / 岗位概述

We are seeking an outstanding and highly connected leader to serve as the Head of Business Development, Japan (OTC Business). In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategic expansion of HashKey’s regulated Over-the-Counter (OTC) trading and institutional liquidity services in the Japanese market. You will be responsible for driving institutional trading volumes, building strategic relationships with local financial institutions, corporate treasuries, family offices, and registered crypto exchanges, while ensuring absolute alignment with Japan’s strict local regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities / 岗位职责

1. Strategic Market Penetration / 本地市场拓展与战略执行

• Develop and execute the local business development strategy to position HashKey as the premier regulated OTC liquidity provider in Japan.
• Drive institutional trading volume and revenue growth, meeting or exceeding local business KPIs.

1. Institutional Client Coverage / 机构关系维护与销售

• Build, manage, and expand relationships with Japanese institutional clients, including JVCEA-licensed exchanges, traditional financial institutions, corporate treasuries, asset managers, family offices, and HNWIs.
• Tailor bespoke OTC block trading, fiat-to-crypto, and stablecoin liquidity solutions to meet the specific needs of Japanese corporate clients.

1. Ecosystem & Partnership Development / 生态与合作伙伴关系

• Establish deep partnerships with local custody providers, trust companies, legal firms, and banking partners to build a robust fiat-and-crypto settlement network in Japan.
• Represent HashKey in local industry associations, Web3 events, and standard-setting bodies.

1. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment / 合规与风控护航

• Collaborate closely with Japan’s local Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure all OTC activities strictly align with JFSA (Financial Services Agency) regulations, Payment Services Act, and local AML/CFT guidelines.
• Assist in structured transactions that navigate complex local accounting, taxation, and custody regulations for digital assets.

1. Cross-Border Collaboration / 跨国团队协同

• Act as the key liaison between the Tokyo office and the global OTC, Treasury, and Product teams in Hong Kong and Singapore to optimize pricing, liquidity routing, and product delivery.

Requirements / 任职要求

1. Experience & Track Record / 行业资历与过往战绩

• 8+ years of professional experience in institutional sales, relationship management, or prime brokerage within top-tier investment banks, foreign exchange (FX) desks, or global tier-1 digital asset OTC desks.
• Proven track record of onboarding and managing Japanese traditional corporate accounts or major Web3 institutional clients.

1. Local Network / 日本本土金融资源

• Deep, active network within the Japanese financial ecosystem, particularly with JFSA-registered exchanges (JVCEA members), VC/PE firms, and tech conglomerate treasuries.

1. Domain Expertise / 业务专业度

• Deep understanding of OTC trading mechanisms, block trading, liquidity aggregation, pricing models, stablecoins, and global cross-border payments.

1. Language & Communication / 双语商务谈判能力

• Native-level Japanese (must be able to build trusted relationships with traditional Japanese corporate boards).
• Professional business English or Mandarin (critical for cross-border collaboration and group-level executive reporting).
