What they need

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Digital Transformation to turn our growing set of digital tools, data and pilots into one operating platform the business actually uses — so decisions are faster, manual coordination falls, and every digital investment has a measurable return.

You will own how digital transformation is run across the company: the roadmap, the portfolio, the data and architecture standards, and the vendor model. You do not replace functional ownership. Each function owns its own processes, data, requirements and adoption; your job is to make that ownership work across functions.

How We Operate

  • Central team (this role): strategy, roadmap, architecture, data governance, delivery, vendor management and internal build capability.
  • Functional digital leads: one part-time lead per function; the domain owner and single contact for data, processes, pain points and requirements. Solid line to their Head of Department, dotted line to you.
  • Heads of Department: accountable for business outcomes, requirement sign-off and adoption in their function.
  • COO / leadership team: set priorities, approve investment and resolve cross-functional trade-offs.

What You Will Do

  • Digital strategy & roadmap: Translate company strategy and the annual operating plan into a multi-year digital, data and AI roadmap. Run the yearly cycle of collecting technology needs, then size, prioritise and build the business case for each. Focus on a small number of high-impact capabilities (e.g. demand-to-supply planning, customer and loyalty data, store performance, internal automation) and be clear on what is stopped or deferred.
  • Portfolio & delivery governance: Own a single view of all initiatives — scope, owner, stage, budget, risks, dependencies and expected value. Apply stage gates (idea → business case → pilot/POC → scale → run), run weekly status and monthly executive updates, and raise risks early with options.
  • Data ownership, architecture & governance: Keep the data platform, integrations and reporting layer under company control, with direct access to and portability of our own data. Define the single source of truth for core data (sales, members, products, materials, stores, inventory), including KPI definitions and named data owners, and set standards for master data quality, access, documentation and integration across ERP, POS, CRM/loyalty, BI and planning tools.
  • Adoption & change management: Treat go-live as the start, not the end: own adoption plans, training, user support and benefit tracking. Lead the network of functional digital leads — onboarding, priorities, a regular forum and capability building.
  • Vendor, partner & Group technology management: Decide what is built, bought or outsourced; run vendor selection, contracts (with Procurement and Legal) and performance management while avoiding lock-in. Act as the single technical counterpart to Group technology teams and external providers.
  • AI, automation & internal build: Build internal capability for analytics, automation and AI (assistants, forecasting, workflow automation) with clear ownership after launch. Manage AI tool access, licences and responsible-use guidelines, and grow internal tools that remove spreadsheet-heavy manual work.
  • Security, risk & compliance: Ensure every new system, device and integration passes cybersecurity, data privacy and access-control review; maintain documentation, access and backups so no system depends on one person; support internal audit.
  • Budget & value realisation: Own the digital capex/opex budget and licence portfolio. Define the value case up front (cost saved, hours freed, revenue or margin gained, risk reduced) and report realised value after launch.
  • Team leadership: Lead, coach and develop the central team, build succession, and plan capacity against the roadmap.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, data, business or a related field.
  • 8+ years in digital, IT or data roles, including 3+ years leading cross-functional transformation programmes and teams.
  • Experience in retail, F&B, FMCG or multi-site operations.
  • Hands-on understanding of ERP (SAP preferred), POS, CRM/loyalty, BI (e.g. Power BI) and modern data platforms.
  • Proven record of driving adoption across functions with part-time contributors — not only delivering systems.
  • Strong vendor management, contracting and budget ownership.
  • Fluent Vietnamese and English; able to present clearly to Heads of Department, the CEO and Group.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI/GenAI tools, automation and in-house product development.
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Background in a large group with a shared-services technology team.
  • Project or change management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, Prosci or similar).

Who You Are

  • Business translator: you understand how stores, supply chain, finance and marketing really use data, and turn that into clear requirements.
  • Structured and visible: you communicate progress, risks and trade-offs proactively, in writing and in person.
  • Influence without authority: you build alignment across functions and Group, and can say no with evidence.
  • Owner mindset: you protect company control of its data, cost and roadmap.
  • Pragmatic builder: you prefer proven value and adoption over complex solutions.
  • People developer: you delegate, coach and build a team that does not depend on one person.

Other offers great for you!
