The Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who is passionate about the future of AI-driven software development.
You will take responsibility for engineering strategy, technical architecture and the continued evolution of an AI-native software development environment.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will help transform how software is designed, developed, tested and deployed, using AI to accelerate delivery without compromising reliability, security or quality.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Evaluate emerging AI coding technologies, development frameworks and automation tools.</li>
<li>Balance rapid innovation with production-grade engineering excellence.</li>
<li>Work closely with executive leadership to ensure engineering investment delivers measurable business value.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as a Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, Engineering Director or CTO within a technology-led organisation.</li>
<li>Strong hands-on software engineering and architectural background.</li>
<li>Experience leading engineering teams within fast-growing startups or scale-ups.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD and cloud-native architecture.</li>
<li>Strong interest in AI-powered software engineering, coding agents and autonomous development workflows.</li>
<li>Experience building internal platforms, developer tools or complex software ecosystems.</li>

</ul>
The Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in speaking with engineering leaders who genuinely enjoy building technology.
You may already be experimenting extensively with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or autonomous development agents.
You understand that AI has the potential to fundamentally change software engineering, but also recognise the importance of strong architecture, robust testing and disciplined technical leadership.
You are equally comfortable discussing long-term engineering strategy with executives and solving complex technical problems alongside your engineering teams.
