We’re looking for a technically strong Head of Engineering to lead multiple software engineering teams delivering global B2B products and platforms.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can balance people leadership, engineering capability and technical direction, while remaining credible in architecture and engineering discussions.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and develop multiple cross-functional software engineering teams.
• Coach and develop Tech Leads, Architects, Senior Engineers and Engineering Leaders.
• Partner closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, APIs, integrations and cloud-based platforms.
• Drive platform modernisation, technical debt reduction, reliability and maintainability.
• Improve engineering practices across CI/CD, automation, incident management and developer effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to improve team structures, ways of working and engineering capability.
• Help teams pragmatically adopt AI-assisted engineering tools where they add genuine value.
• Use meaningful metrics to improve engineering performance, delivery and business outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience leading multiple software engineering teams in a product environment.
• Strong software engineering/technical background with credible architecture experience.
• Experience developing senior engineers, Tech Leads and/or Engineering Managers.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud architecture, APIs, integrations and distributed systems.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, digital platforms, global products or similarly complex environments.
• Proven experience with platform modernisation and balancing technical investment with product delivery.
• A track record of materially improving engineering organisations, whether through architecture, team structure, engineering practices, reliability or capability.
• Strong commercial and Product partnering skills, with the ability to translate technical decisions into customer and business outcomes.
• A pragmatic, curious approach to AI and emerging engineering practices.
