Head of Engineering (Solar EPC)

Role Overview

Direct complete technical engineering strategies, value engineering, compliance, and system commissioning for commercial & industrial (C&I) rooftop, utility-scale, floating solar, and battery storage (BESS) initiatives across Thailand and Southeast Asia. This role manages a multidisciplinary team of electrical, civil, and structural engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Project Pipeline: Oversee end-to-end engineering deliverables, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), yield simulations, structural analysis, grounding systems, and 3D shade layouts.
• Grid Connection & Compliance: Lead technical documentation and defense required for grid-interconnection permits with local electrical authorities (MEA, PEA, EGAT), ensuring alignment with national governing bodies (ERC, Thai Council of Engineers).
• Value Engineering & Sourcing Support: Perform technical due diligence and evaluation of Tier-1 equipment (modules, inverters, transformers, trackers, switchgear) to optimize LCOE and Balance of System (BOS) expenditure.
• Quality Assurance & Commissioning: Standardize procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), relay protection calibration, and energization handover protocols.
• Team Leadership: Scale, mentor, and allocate engineering personnel across simultaneous construction projects and EPC tenders.

Candidate Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensure: Active Thai Professional Engineering License (Senior Professional Level / Charter Level - สามัญวิศวกร or วุฒิวิศวกร).
• Experience: 10+ years in power infrastructure/solar engineering, including 5+ years managing an engineering department for a Solar EPC or renewable developer.
• Technical Software: High proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase, and power systems analysis software (ETAP or DigSILENT).
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in Thai and English.
