Head of Internal Accounting

EMPOWERMENT is delighted to be retained by a leading Funds & Corporate Governance Services provider to identify a talented Head of Internal Accounting to join their expanding team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, and partnering closely with the CFO, this is a broad role and will act as the primary custodian of accounting quality, financial control and consolidation integrity across the Group.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team responsible for entity accounting, group accounting and consolidation activities across multiple jurisdictions, while helping drive the next phase of finance transformation
• Lead monthly, quarterly & annual close process while overseeing group consolidation & intercompany accounting
• Lead the annual audit process with external auditors, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Play a pivotal role in driving finance operation efficiencies, automation and process improvements
• Lead & develop the Accounting team ensuring appropriate succession planning

Experience:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong Undergraduate Degree performance
• A number of years PQE gained in industry within a Funds/Corporate Services/FS firm
• Group Consolidation experience with excellent technical accounting skills
• Demonstrable experience in leading high performing teams within a multi-entity organisation
• Superior communication skills and leadership qualities
