Head of Performance

For our client, we are seeking a Head Of Performance to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build a comprehensive Performance Operating System with measurable scorecards and KPIs
• Implement formal grading processes to identify top performers accurately
• Establish clear procedures for addressing underperformance, including documentation for legal protection
• Collaborate with leaders to maintain an ongoing pipeline of superior talent
• Develop coaching plans for B players to transition them into high performers

Qualifications

• 7 to 12 years in performance management or talent grading systems, specifically in high-growth or turnaround environments
• Experience with rigorous performance methodologies like Topgrading and forced ranking
• Knowledge of legal risks related to performance management and quick exit processes
• Proficiency in people analytics and HRIS tools to create actionable dashboards
• Experience in coaching high-potential employees to elevate performance, not just assessing and exiting
