Head of Programmes

We are seeking an experienced Head of Programmes to join our aircraft interiors product development team. In this pivotal role, you will drive programme delivery, organisational capability, and ensure operational excellence across our engineering business.

This role will oversee programme delivery for multiple engineering projects while also contributing to the strategic leadership and development of our New Zealand business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee delivery of product development programmes.
• Drive excellence in programme and project management practices across the NZ organisation.
• Develop and implement programme delivery processes aligned with company global standards.
• Manage programme schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics.
• Lead capacity planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces with OEMs, integrators, production, installation, testing, and certification stakeholders.
• Support business development activities and new project bids.
• Lead continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and improve business management system processes and tools.
• Manage and develop NZ-based programme management personnel.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, global ACS stakeholders, customers, suppliers and aircraft manufacturers.

About you

• Degree in engineering or business

• Organisational leadership qualities and experience

• Extensive experience in programme management

• Broad experience in aviation product development preferred

• Project management qualifications preferred

• Decisive and self-starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a demanding environment.

• Great communication and collaboration skills with a strong commitment to being part of a team-oriented organisation.

• Seeks continuous improvement and can work in an open manner.

• Appropriate rights to live and work in New Zealand
