HEAD OF SECURITY

The Cabin is looking for an experienced Head of Security to lead our in-house security team and oversee the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

This is a hands-on leadership position in a high-volume, 21+ nightlife environment. We need someone who can stay calm under pressure, lead a team confidently, de-escalate situations, and maintain a safe environment without interfering with the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise the security team
• Oversee ID check and entrance security
• Manage occupancy and capacity procedures
• Assign security positions and ensure proper coverage
• Monitor guest behavior and identify potential problems early
• Handle de-escalation, removals, and trespass situations professionally
• Coordinate response to emergencies, injuries, and other incidents
• Ensure incident, ejection, and security documentation is completed accurately
• Monitor security cameras and maintain security procedures
• Work closely with management, bartenders, hosts, and other departments
• Ensure the security team follows The Cabin’s policies and approved security procedures

Requirements

• Must be 21+
• Previous security experience required
• Security leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Nightlife, bar, venue, event, or high-volume hospitality security experience preferred
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-pressure situations
• Comfortable managing intoxicated or disruptive guests
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and respond quickly when needed

Preferred Certifications

CPR/First Aid/AED, Narcan/overdose response, de-escalation training, and other relevant security or safety certifications are preferred. Additional required training will be provided or coordinated.

This is not a “stand at the door” security position. The Head of Security will be responsible for building and maintaining a professional security operation that protects the building while still creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Pay: $47,579.00 - $57,299.44 per year
