Head of Technical Support

Objectives

• Strengthen maintenance capabilities, improve machine reliability, and elevate shopfloor technical standards.
• Drive shopfloor automation and digitalization initiatives, including the implementation and optimization of SFS systems such as EOLOS.
• Build a technically strong, innovative, and continuous-improvement-oriented Technical Support organization.

Principal Duties

Technical Support Leadership

• Lead Facility management, Maintenance and Automation as an integrated Technical Support function.
• Set clear priorities, performance standards, and capability expectations for the Technical Department.
• Develop team competencies, strengthen succession planning, and foster technical ownership across the function.

Maintenance & Machine Reliability

• Drive structured problem-solving on recurring machine issues and technical losses.
• Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance practices to improve machine reliability and equipment performance.
• Establish maintenance standards, methods and performance indicators.

Automation & Shopfloor Digitalization

• Introduce automation beyond robotics and feeding systems based on business and operational needs.
• Lead shopfloor digitalization activities including EOLOS and related SFS manufacturing systems.
• dentify and implement technologies that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational transparency.

Facility, Energy & Infrastructure

• Ensure effective facility, utility and infrastructure management for site operations.
• Monitor energy consumption and drive practical energy-efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure technical infrastructure supports business growth and continuity requirements.

Project Management & Innovation

• Lead technical projects from concept through implementation and stabilization.
• Establish clear project governance covering scope, cost, timing, risk, and performance.
• Drive practical innovation and new ideas across the organization while challenging existing technical solutions to identify better, more effective approaches.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, with experience leading technical teams and managing projects considered an advantage.
• Proficient in technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving is essential.
• Decisive under pressure, with a strong bias for action and ability to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, combined with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
• Strong leadership and strategic decision-making skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical, effective technology solutions.
