Head of Technology Operations
This role leads the Technology Operations function of a well-regarded financial services institution, focused on running and operating platforms and services to a high standard of reliability, security and performance. Focussed on Technology Strategy and Value to ensure platforms continue to evolve and deliver business value, supporting the adoption of AI.

What you'll be doing day-to-day:

• Lead end-to-end technology operations across cloud, platform, infrastructure, security, and service delivery
• Own operational performance (availability, reliability, support, resilience)
• Manage KRIs and KPIs, ensuring risks and issues are proactively identified and mitigated
• Lead teams across cloud, DevOps, SRE, security, and service operations
• Build strong relationships with key partners (e.g. Microsoft, Datacom) to support delivery outcomes
• Ensure core platforms are AI-ready, secure, and scalable
• Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and platform resilience
• Ensure operational readiness for AI platforms (availability, performance, supportability)
• Embed operational controls for AI and automation workloads
• Support safe and scalable deployment of AI-enabled services

You'll bring to the role:

• Experience leading technology operations or platform operations functions
• Proven track record managing availability, reliability, and resilience
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across cloud, security, and service operations
• Experience working with key technology partners and vendors
• Strong operational leadership and delivery focus
• Risk management mindset with proactive issue identification
• Ability to drive operational discipline across teams
• Strong stakeholder and partner management capability
• Ability to work closely with strategy and platform teams to enable outcomes

Within your first year you'll have successfully ensured core platforms are stable, resilient and consistently meet service standards. KRIs provide early warning signals and are actively managed. There will be strong operational discipline imbedded across teams (cloud, security, SRE). AI platforms are running reliably in production, external partners are aligned and delivering effectively, and clear trust from business and leadership in Technology Operations will be status quo.
