About the Role

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for its growing District Cooling System (DCS) business.

This leadership role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, asset reliability, customer service, safety, and business performance across district cooling assets. The incumbent will lead operations strategy, maintenance planning, utility management, operational readiness of new projects, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership:

• Lead end-to-end Operations & Maintenance activities across District Cooling assets.
• Ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of cooling plants, chilled water networks, utility infrastructure, and associated systems.
• Drive operational excellence, plant performance, asset utilization, and service delivery.

Asset Reliability & Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Establish maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and lifecycle performance.
• Lead reliability improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and operational optimization programs.
• Oversee maintenance planning, shutdown management, and critical spare management.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management:

• Drive customer service excellence and ensure adherence to service level commitments.
• Build strong relationships with customers, off-takers, utility partners, OEMs, contractors, and service providers.
• Lead customer satisfaction and complaint resolution initiatives.

Project Handover & Operational Readiness:

• Support projects during design review, testing & commissioning, handover, and asset stabilization phases.
• Ensure seamless transition of new assets from project execution teams into operations.

Financial & Commercial Management:

• Manage operating budgets, maintenance expenditure, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Drive energy efficiency, operational productivity, and business performance improvements.
• Monitor Opex performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Safety, Quality & Compliance:

• Promote a strong safety-first culture across all facilities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, statutory, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Drive operational governance and best practices across the organization.

Team Leadership:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across operations, maintenance, engineering support, and customer service.
• Build organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.

Desired Experience:

• 20+ years of experience in Operations & Maintenance, Utilities, HVAC, District Cooling, Energy, Industrial Infrastructure, Data Centers, Airports, Petrochemicals, or Large Utility Operations.
• Proven experience leading large utility assets and multi-site operations.
• Strong exposure to Testing & Commissioning (T&C), Plant Operations, Maintenance Strategy, Asset Reliability, and Customer Service.
• Experience handling large teams, vendors, OEMs, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, safety performance, asset reliability, and customer satisfaction.
