Head Plant Security

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day security operations across the plant premises, including entry and exit gates, perimeter security, visitor management and vehicle movement.
• Supervise security personnel, security supervisors and outsourced security agencies to ensure effective deployment and discipline.
• Implement and monitor security procedures, SOPs and emergency response protocols.
• Oversee CCTV surveillance, access control systems, gate passes and material movement documentation.
• Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, trespassing and other security-related incidents.
• Monitor the movement of employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles and materials in coordination with HR, Administration, Stores and Operations.
• Conduct regular security inspections, vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Investigate security incidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with local police, fire services, intelligence agencies and other statutory authorities whenever required.
• Develop emergency response plans for fire, industrial accidents, unrest, sabotage and other security threats.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain security records, incident registers, deployment rosters and agency performance reports.
• Conduct security awareness programmes and emergency drills for employees and contract personnel.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Graduate in any discipline; additional qualifications in Security Management, Defence Studies or Industrial Security will be preferred.
• Relevant experience in plant security, industrial security or security administration within manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, railway or infrastructure industries.
• Prior experience in managing large manufacturing facilities and outsourced security manpower.
• Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV surveillance, threat assessment, incident investigation and emergency management.
• Experience in dealing with local law enforcement agencies and government authorities.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and crisis-management skills.
• Preference for candidates with a defence, paramilitary or industrial security background, subject to relevant experience.
