Head Portfolio Risk

Role Description The Head Portfolio Risk is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing risk management across the firm’s investment and lending portfolios. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of portfolio risk frameworks, including market risk measurement, stress testing, and scenario analysis. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing portfolio risk metrics, monitoring concentration and exposure limits, and preparing clear risk reports and recommendations for senior leadership and relevant committees. The role collaborates closely with finance, trading, product, and compliance teams to align risk strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The Head Portfolio Risk also mentors risk professionals, establishes best practices, and drives initiatives to improve risk data quality, analytics, and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Market Risk, including risk measurement, stress testing, and portfolio analytics.
• Demonstrated experience in Regulatory Compliance, with knowledge of relevant prudential and capital regulations.
• Advanced Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, interpretation of complex data, and use of risk models.
• Background in Enterprise Risk Management, including frameworks, governance structures, and risk appetite setting.
• Solid foundation in Finance, such as financial instruments, capital markets, and portfolio construction.
• Experience in leading risk teams or functions, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity.
