Head - Procurement and Contracts

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, innovative materials, and efficient sourcing methods.
• Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead all major contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and consultants. Ensure favourable terms, conditions, and pricing. Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and review to execution and closeout.
• Vendor & Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain a strong, vetted network of suppliers and partners. Conduct performance evaluations and manage relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Financial & Risk Management: Monitor and control project procurement budgets. Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and legal risks related to contracts and supply chain activities.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team. Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, professional development, and integrity.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to company procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Develop and implement robust governance processes to maintain transparency and accountability.

Secondary responsibility:

• Oversee project cost management, billing certification, and cash flow monitoring.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive issue resolution.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
