Position: Head – Procurement & Purchase
Experience: 10–15 years
Industry Preference: Trading / Distribution / Commercial Procurement
Location: Chennai
Reporting To: MD / CEO

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing operations.
• Develop new vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely procurement based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and stock requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Accounts, and Operations teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize stockouts, excess stock, and urgent purchases.
• Drive cost optimization and improve gross margins through strategic sourcing.
• Track purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and pending orders.
• Prepare procurement MIS reports, budgets, and cost-saving analyses.
• Lead the purchase team and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Required Skills:

• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in sourcing, purchase planning, inventory control, and cost optimization.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and commercial decision-making skills.
