Role & responsibilities
- Create and manage the yearly buying plan and budget.
- Find and choose reliable suppliers for steel, engines, electronics, and specialized marine parts.
- Get the best prices, delivery times, and payment terms from vendors.
- Write and sign legal agreements that follow maritime laws.
- Make sure all delivered goods match strict marine safety and quality standards.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, marine engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 12 to 14 years in purchasing, with several years in heavy manufacturing, maritime or shipbuilding industries.
