Head Server

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and motivated Head Server to lead our front-of-house team and ensure excellent customer service. The Head Server will assist management with daily restaurant operations, train and support servers, maintain service standards, and create a positive dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead and support servers during daily operations.
• Train new employees on service standards, menu knowledge, and restaurant procedures.
• Delegate responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate staff concerns and operational issues to management.

Customer Service

• Provide professional, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure orders are accurate and food is delivered in a timely manner.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Daily Operations

• Oversee opening and closing procedures for the front of house.
• Ensure all servers complete assigned side work and cleaning checklists.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, organization, and table readiness.
• Assist with seating, taking orders, running food, and processing payments during busy periods.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
• Report equipment issues, inventory shortages, and operational concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving experience required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of customer service and restaurant operations.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.

The Head Server is expected to lead by example, maintain accountability, support management, and encourage teamwork. This position requires initiative, professionalism, and the ability to identify and resolve problems before they affect restaurant operations.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 45.0 per week
