Head Systems Engineering

Key responsibilities

• Own system requirements, functional decomposition, architecture and cross-discipline interface definitions.
• Translate Product requirements into measurable technical requirements and performance budgets.
• Define throughput, latency, availability, recovery, fault-handling and interface expectations.
• Own interface control documents across Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, NIDO OS and external/customer systems.
• Lead technical risk analysis/FMEA at system level and drive closure with discipline owners.
• Define verification intent and acceptance criteria with Reliability & Validation.
• Chair system architecture/design reviews for major product/NPD work.
• Support Solution Design on non-standard application feasibility without becoming the proposal team.

Experience & qualifications

• 1218+ years in multidisciplinary engineered systems; direct systems architecture/requirements experience essential.
• Strong understanding across mechanical, electrical, controls and software interfaces without needing to be the deepest specialist in each.
• Experience with requirements management, FMEA, interface control, V-model/V&V or equivalent disciplined systems methods.
• Experience with throughput/performance modelling and fault/recovery design is valuable.
