Head Waiter

Position Overview

We are looking for experienced and service-driven Head Waiters to join our premium restaurant concepts in Dubai.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in upscale dining, excellent guest relations skills and the ability to lead a section while maintaining the highest standards of service. We are particularly interested in European hospitality professionals who bring international experience, strong service culture and a genuine passion for food, beverage and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Deliver exceptional, personalised and attentive service in line with the restaurant's standards.
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure a smooth and memorable dining experience.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, allergens and beverage offerings.
• Provide informed recommendations and respond confidently to guest enquiries.
• Anticipate guest needs and handle requests or complaints professionally.
• Maintain strong relationships with regular guests while respecting privacy and discretion.

Section Management

• Take responsibility for an assigned section, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, host team and other service colleagues.
• Ensure correct order taking, accurate food delivery and appropriate service timing.
• Maintain table presentation, cleanliness and readiness throughout service.
• Follow restaurant service sequences, brand standards and operating procedures.

Teamwork & Mentoring

• Support the training and integration of new team members.
• Assist in briefing colleagues on menu changes, daily specials and guest requirements.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional attitude during busy services.
• Support supervisors and restaurant management in maintaining service standards.

Operational Standards

• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Ensure accurate order entry and compliance with POS procedures.
• Support stock control and the appropriate handling of service equipment.
• Follow cash handling and billing procedures where applicable.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter or equivalent in an upscale restaurant, luxury hotel or premium dining concept.
• Strong knowledge of fine dining or premium casual dining service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English required; French, Italian or other European languages are an advantage.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, with wine knowledge considered a plus.
• Well-presented, guest-focused, organised and detail-oriented.
• Able to work flexible hospitality shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
