Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Administer medication following prescribed guidelines and document accordingly
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Manage behaviour effectively and implement behaviour management strategies
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
• Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
• Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques, Mental Health.
• Experience in medication administration and basic first aid procedures essential
• Familiarity with caregiving duties such as meal preparation and behaviour management advantageous
• Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties
• Experience working with vulnerable populations such as individuals requiring specialised care is a plus

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
