What they need

Overview:
Support a clinical healthcare data team in designing and implementing enhancements to a clinical analytics and data enablement platform. This role will focus on propagating new metadata attributes across structured OMOP tables and establishing consistent, scalable implementation patterns that can be reused as new attributes and data domains are introduced.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate source metadata, including document identifiers, source system information, and tracking IDs, and determine how it should be incorporated across applicable OMOP domains and tables.
- Implement SQL and data pipeline changes to add new fields to prioritized OMOP tables through phased rollouts, supporting both historical backfills and incremental data loads.
- Define and document extensible, reusable implementation patterns that can support future framework enhancements, new attributes, and additional data domains.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and availability for downstream consumers following each rollout.
- Coordinate prioritization and sequencing of table enhancements with clinical data stakeholders and downstream teams.
- Support UAT, defect resolution, and production deployment throughout each phase.
- Maintain documentation and data dictionaries to capture new fields, data lineage, and intended usage.
- Communicate rollout progress and availability of new data attributes to downstream consumers.
Required Skills:
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on BigQuery experience.
- Experience working with the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM), including schema and pipeline changes across multiple clinical data domains and tables.
- Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools, including pipeline development, historical backfills, and incremental load patterns.
- Experience working within a GCP-based data and analytics environment.
- Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent data/table rollouts within an Agile or sprint-based environment.
- Strong technical documentation skills with the ability to establish reusable development patterns and standards for other engineers.
