We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to help us care for the residents at our small, homely residential care home.

You must be living in the Ilfracombe area

Ideally you should have experience in caring for elderly residents, including those living with dementia. However, we are keen to attract new talent to our team and will offer appropriate training if you have a genuine interest in working with our residents as a healthcare assistant, show aptitude for the work and are prepared to commit to training and development. We believe in giving people the opportunity to progress in their careers in care.

In this role you will need to:

Assist our residents with all aspects of their personal care and wellbeing

Be efficient at recording digital care notes, and written record keeping (training can be given)

Work efficiently in a small team, under the supervision of a senior healthcare assistant

Be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, when required. Shift patterns will be discussed at interview

NVQ/ level 2 Health and Social Care or higher qualification preferred but not essential

Enhanced DBS check and 2 references are required

Full-time, part-time hours available

6 hour shifts: 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm. 12 hour shifts: 8am-8pm

Pinehurst Care Home in Ilfracombe, North Devon, has been established for over 30 years, providing a true family home for our residents. Our staff are key to creating the warm, friendly atmosphere that makes residents and their families choose our home. We have 21 rooms and care for residents over 65, some living with dementia. Most are permanent residents; occasionally we provide short-term/respite care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.72-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
