Healthcare Data & Integration Developer (Raintree / SQL)

About the role:

Xerosum provides back-office and technology talent to US healthcare organizations. We’re hiring a developer to work directly with a client’s tech team on reports, data pulls, and system integrations.

You’ll work directly with the client’s tech team on reports, data pulls, and system integrations. Over time you’ll also work in Raintree, their practice management and EHR platform.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL reports and data extracts
• Build and support REST/JSON API integrations, including internal web API endpoints, RingCentral, SFTP data feeds, and payment processors
• Learn and develop in Raintree’s proprietary scripting language (RSL)
• Work through Git with regular code reviews
• Handle patient data in line with HIPAA requirements

Required qualifications

• Strong SQL skills, including indexing, query plans, and performance tuning
• Experience building and consuming REST/JSON APIs
• Proven ability to learn a proprietary or niche language on the job. Examples include Progress/OpenEdge 4GL, MUMPS/Caché (Epic, Meditech), NetSuite SuiteScript, Salesforce Apex, Dynamics/AL, or in-house scripting languages.
• Experience handling PHI in a HIPAA-regulated environment
• Willingness to complete a background check and sign a BAA/NDA
• Comfortable with Git and code review workflows

Preferred qualifications

• Raintree experience, whether as a former Raintree employee or a developer at a Raintree clinic
• Healthcare revenue cycle knowledge: CPT/ICD-10, modifiers, authorizations, payer rules, and X12 837/835/270/271
• Outpatient PT/rehab experience: plans of care, visit limits, therapy billing rules
• PHP experience
