Heart Failure Clinical Associate

Responsibilities The Cardiac Surgery division at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing heart failure patients in the CTICU on mechanical support or VV ECMO, and those who have experienced these interventions.
• Managing patients with VADs on the surgical floor and those with Impella 5.5 devices in the CCU.
• Providing consistent support from Monday to Friday, including every other weekend
• Involvement in bedside procedures and ICU work
• Bill first assist in the OR as well, supporting the overall BCVI Heart Failure program

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited training program in thoracic / cardiovascular surgery. Meeting the requirements for board certification in United States or the international equivalent.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay for this positio n is $220,000 - $260,000.
