Heating Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team of existing installers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of heating systems in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Heating Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely.

We are currently installing heating systems throughout the Southwest, ranging from Bristol to Cornwall and everywhere in between, so the role is open to candidates based preferably in the EX & PL postcodes of Devon.

Our main work involves the installation of air source heat pumps, unvented cylinders, hot & cold systems and radiators and training in the installation & commissioning of heat pump systems will be provided if required.

Gas Safe & Unvented qualifications would be preferable, but not essential for the right candidate as training can be provided.

Company vehicle provided.

Duties

• Install heating systems, including boilers, air source heat pumps, hot water cylinders and radiators.
• Perform tasks as required for heating system installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively during installations and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers and electricians to complete projects efficiently.
• Carry out assembly tasks related to heating system components.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing all duties.
• Engage in heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Skills

• Proficient in techniques relevant to heating system installations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand heating, hot & cold systems.
• Experience with plumbing tasks related to heating installations is advantageous.
• Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
• A valid driving licence is essential.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
