We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to maintain and service the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at our medical clinic. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with HVAC equipment and understand the importance of maintaining a safe, comfortable, and properly climate-controlled healthcare environment.

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and assisting with the operation of HVAC systems throughout the clinic. Because our facility serves patients and healthcare staff, reliability, cleanliness, safety, and prompt response to HVAC issues are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the clinic's HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, rooftop units, air handlers, thermostats, exhaust systems, and other HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
  • Monitor HVAC performance to help maintain appropriate temperature, humidity, ventilation, and indoor air quality throughout the facility.
  • Respond promptly to HVAC service calls and address equipment issues that may affect patient care, staff, or clinic operations.
  • Identify worn, damaged, or failing components and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, parts used, and service performed.
  • Coordinate with clinic management and outside contractors when specialized HVAC services or major repairs are required.
  • Assist with the installation, replacement, and start-up of new HVAC equipment as needed.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures, building requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Handle refrigerants in accordance with applicable EPA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area, particularly when working in patient-care areas.
  • Minimize disruption to patients, providers, and clinic operations while performing maintenance or repairs.
  • Help ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably to support a comfortable healthcare environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar mechanical service professional.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and air-handling equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use common HVAC tools and electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and ohmmeters.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems and refrigerant handling.
  • Familiarity with thermostats, controls, building automation systems, and HVAC monitoring systems is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and related mechanical systems is preferred.
  • EPA refrigerant certification is required.
  • HVAC trade certification, licensing, or additional technical certifications are preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clinic staff and explain HVAC issues and repairs clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize service requests, and respond effectively to urgent equipment problems.

Why Join Our Team?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who takes pride in keeping critical building systems operating safely and efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a comfortable, safe, and reliable environment for our patients, providers, and staff.

If you are dependable, technically skilled, and committed to providing high-quality HVAC service, we would like to hear from you.
