Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and building automation controls with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan, including cleaning, filter replacement, and system calibrations.
• Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
• Repair refrigeration systems and mechanical components such as pumps, valves, compressors, and piping associated with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems.
• Read and interpret technical schematics and HVAC design documents to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly to clients and offering maintenance advice for optimal system performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques across various mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, boilers, and mechanical systems repair.
• Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize hand tools effectively for equipment repair or installation tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in HVAC system design or installation projects is highly desirable.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC/R are a plus.
• Strong electrical diagnostics skills using tools such as ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Ability to work independently in the field performing service calls or maintenance tasks confidently.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
