Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics.
• Diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to pinpoint mechanical or electrical faults.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future breakdowns.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and plumbing diagrams to accurately execute installations or repairs.
• Conduct refrigeration repairs involving ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units.
• Weld or perform equipment repairs as needed using appropriate techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
• Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of heating and cooling systems across multiple facilities.
• Respond promptly to field service requests for appliance repair or emergency HVAC issues to minimize downtime.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans.
• Experience with plumbing systems related to HVAC units and refrigeration lines.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration for industrial applications.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and boilers.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Skilled in welding techniques necessary for equipment repair or modifications.
• Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or residential properties.
• Basic property maintenance skills to support overall building climate control needs.
