Must be willing to rotate weekends for emergency calls!!

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
• Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical failures, refrigeration problems, and plumbing concerns using hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and welders.
• Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems with precision.
• Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending effective solutions.
• Follow safety protocols and obtain necessary certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for refrigerant handling.

Requirements

• Proven construction experience combined with service technician experience in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, repair, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with HVAC design principles and electrical diagnostics for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration processes and boiler operation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welders, and ohmmeters for equipment repair.
• Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to HVAC/R equipment including electrical diagnostics and wiring.
• Ability to perform welding tasks when necessary for system repairs or modifications.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client interactions.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC system installation or building automation are advantageous.
• Construction background or experience working on mechanical systems within commercial or industrial settings is preferred.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
