Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Construction Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy construction equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct brake repairs, tire service, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts when necessary.
• Work on HVAC systems related to diesel machinery.
• Repair or replace shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Heavy Construction Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repair.
• Ability to perform brake repair and tire service effectively.
• Certification as a Service Technician is advantageous.
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
