Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician

Minimum 8 years of heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including UAE/Dubai experience.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck and commercial vehicle repair, preferably with strong UAE/Dubai workshop experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of diesel engine mechanical systems, electrical systems and electronic control systems.
• Experience with brands such as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai, UD/Nissan and similar heavy vehicles.
• Carry out complete engine, transmission, clutch, differential, braking, steering, suspension, cooling and fuel-system diagnosis and repairs.
• Perform engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs, including fault finding, dismantling, inspection, component replacement, assembly and testing.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including starting/charging systems, wiring circuits, sensors, actuators, ECUs/ECMs, CAN communication and electrical fault tracing.
• Able to use multimeter, wiring diagrams, electrical test equipment and manufacturer technical information for advanced fault diagnosis.
• Proficient in using heavy-vehicle diagnostic scanners and OEM diagnostic software to read and interpret DTCs, live data, parameters and system faults.
• Able to perform ECU/ECM diagnostics, programming, coding, parameter configuration, calibration and software-related diagnostic procedures where supported by the applicable OEM equipment.
• Experience with engine management, ABS/EBS, transmission, body-control and emission systems, including DPF, SCR, AdBlue/DEF and related electronic systems.
• Capable of diagnosing faults using OEM diagnostic tools and other professional diagnostic equipment, and identifying the root cause rather than only replacing parts.
• Strong ability to diagnose intermittent electrical, communication and electronic faults.
• Experience with air brake systems, air suspension, hydraulic systems and PTO-related systems on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Able to attend breakdowns and carry out roadside diagnosis and emergency repairs when required.
• Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, diagnostic reports and fault codes.
• Should be capable of independently handling complex mechanical, electrical and diagnostic jobs and providing technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills required.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in multi-brand fleet maintenance and commercial vehicle workshops will be preferred.

UAE DRIVING LICENSE IS MANDATORY

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
