Heavy Diesel Mechanic – FIFO from Perth

Valentis Energy is seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics for FIFO opportunities across multiple mining sites in Western Australia.
This role is suited to trade-qualified mechanics with strong experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment in mining or similarly demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the condition of all plant, equipment and light vehicles.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Ensure all plant and equipment is safe, reliable and compliant with relevant statutory obligations.
• Develop and maintain systems for recording maintenance, repairs and supporting documentation.
• Manage the tool inventory to maximise operational effectiveness and minimise loss.
• Maintain agreed stock levels of parts and routine servicing components, including filters.
• Provide training and mentoring to operational staff on the effective operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Report any non-compliance or serious misuse of plant and equipment to management.
• Provide required reports to management within agreed timeframes.

Essential Requirements

• Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
• Previous experience working as an HD Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to work a FIFO roster from Perth

Desirable

• Previous mining or FIFO experience
• Current High Risk Work Licence
• Experience maintaining mining equipment, trucks, trailers or civil machinery
• Current fatigue management certification
• Relevant site inductions and VOCs
